Original Panasonic technology optimises the contrast by matching it to the images in each scene. Instead of losing gradation by making part of the image too bright or too dark, this new technology applies just the right amount of contrast correction for each part of the scene. Superior Image Ambience - advanced LCD AI in scenes with dark images, Viera reproduces crisp, deep blacks without over-emphasising the whites

Entertainment that Goes a Step Beyond. Featuring the Active Light Control and Active Contrast/Gamma Control systems, the Advanced LCD AI technology improves picture brightness, deepens blacks and increases gradation.

It boosts dynamic range (from black to white peak) by 2.8 times in comparison to the original range. For all types of images, this technology also optimally matches the picture-enhancing process to the characteristics of the LCD device.

You see rich, natural colours with superior gradation, even in images where blacks tend to appear as blots on other televisions.

Greater Detail, Depth and Realism - active contrast/gamma control

This circuitry improves detail in both darker and brighter parts of the image, achieving a crisper, clearer picture. Active Contrast
Control detects the input signal brightness level and increases contrast by dynamically extending the output luminance signal.

Active Gamma Control then boosts gradation in the luminance areas with the most image elements. The result is greater detail, depth and realism than ever before.
